Overseeding

At A1 Aerating, we understand that seeding and overseeding are essential to achieving a lush, vibrant lawn. Our expert team is dedicated to selecting the right grass seed for your specific climate and soil type to ensure optimal growth and resilience. Whether you're starting a new lawn or rejuvenating an existing one, our seeding services lay the foundation for healthy grass. By planting high-quality seeds, we promote strong root development and a thicker, more robust lawn that can withstand environmental challenges like drought and foot traffic.
Overseeding is a vital process that enhances the density and health of your existing lawn without the need to start from scratch. By adding new seeds to your current grass, we help fill in bare spots, reduce weeds, and improve the overall appearance of your yard. Our overseeding technique ensures even coverage, allowing for better sunlight exposure, water absorption, and nutrient intake. With our personalized approach, transforming your lawn into a lush oasis that you can enjoy throughout the seasons is simple. Trust A1 Aerating to revitalize your outdoor space and create a vibrant landscape that enhances your home’s curb appeal.

Meet Bob Brolhorst

First, I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Bob Brolhorst , and I’ve lived in Lincoln since 1975. For 46 years, I’ve helped the residents of Lincoln establish lawns for both new construction and existing lots, as well as rototilling flower beds and gardens. From my experience working with new construction contractors, I’ve found that many cover the cost of sod for the front yard, leaving it up to the homeowner to decide whether to sod the entire yard or opt for grass seed in other areas.

Over the years, I’ve seen many changes in the industry, both with yard products and the machinery used for planting and fertilizing. A couple of years ago, I researched options to replace some of my older equipment and decided to invest in Stinger DUAL-AER 2475 aerators and Stinger 2400 super seeders. In my opinion, these are the best on the market.

My process for planting grass seed starts with aerating the yard, which pulls out plugs to a depth of three inches. Then, I follow up with my super seeder, which cuts slits in the ground and drops seeds into both the grooves and the aeration holes. Finally, I apply a starter fertilizer. There’s no need to worry about any of the products washing away.

If you have questions or would like to book an appointment, please give me a call at (402) 781-3259. If I’m unavailable, please leave a voicemail.
